Gerry and Lori Hausman are coming to town for an event on Saturday, June 20, from
2-4 pm. They have written over 50 books, adult and children’s fiction and non fiction.
Gerry was also co-editor of the First Berkshire Anthology, published by the old
Bookstore Press, as well as co-publisher of the press back in the 1970s when I first
arrived on the scene.
The latest two books are “Time Swimmer”, which is a Caribbean tale featuring a young Jamaican boy who befriends an ancient sea turtle named Odysseus. Together the boy
and his turtle friend travel through Caribbean time, righting wrongs, etc. etc. and “The Image Taker: Selected Stories and Photographs of Edward S. Curtis”, which features seldom seen photographs as well as lesser known stories and tales which Curtis collected on his journeys through the American west between 1889 and 1930.
